Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2023:
Gauhati High Court has issued an official recruitment notification regarding the recruitment of 130 Posts of Stenographer in the district courts of Assam. Online applications are invited from eligible candidates within the prescribed time. Candidates satisfying the required eligibility criteria are able to submit their online applications on the official web portal.

1. Stenographer (Grade-II)
No of Posts: 34 Posts
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.
Stenography: The candidate should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit a pass/ completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
Pay Scale: Rs.22,000 – Rs.97,000 plus Grade Pay of Rs.9,700 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
2. Stenographer (Grade-III)
No of Posts: 96 Posts
Educational Qualification: A candidate who has passed the HS or Class 12th examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ University on the date of advertisement is eligible for recruitment.
Stenography: The candidate should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/ Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/ Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit a pass/ completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500 plus Grade Pay of Rs.7,400 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.

Local Language Proficiency: The candidate should have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on the last date of application.
